Business & IT
Business and IT is a well-established one-year Rathmines College QQI Level 5 course and an excellent introduction to so many business and IT areas. The blend of business modules with practical IT skills on this course is a great balance between learning about business, accounting and economics and the day to day IT requirements of working in many business sectors. Successful graduates of this course have the opportunity to apply for progression to popular 3rd level business courses such as Business Studies in DCU (DC111) or Commerce in UCD (DN650)

Education Progression
Students who complete the one-year Business and IT QQI Level 5 course can progress through the CAO system to Higher Education courses in Trinity College Dublin, UCD, DCU, Maynooth University, TU Dublin, National College of Ireland and IADT.
Another progression route is the Rathmines College QQI Level 6 one-year Advanced Certificate in Business, students have the opportunity to access courses at Advanced Entry (2nd year) of popular degree courses in both TU Dublin and NCI.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the QQI Level 5 Certificate in Business and IT have the skills and confidence to work in a wide range of professional roles. Recent graduates are now working in banking and finance, sales and marketing and HRM for national and multinational organisations.
